Wetlands conservation is the goal in Wyoming. Ducks Unlimited, Wyoming Game and Fish and the Wyoming Bird Habitat Conservation groups have all joined forces under a EPA Wetland Development Program grant to preserve wetlands. The grant will help hire a full time wetland specialist and help with water quality and improved wetlands. Ducks Unlimited will lead the conservation side of the project and WGFD will teach land managers about wetlands as well as promote and implement statewide plans. More wetlands will lead to healthier populations of many species, especially waterfowl.
