Chernobyl is probably the worst nuclear reactor incident in history. Brief overview, in April 1986 the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant suffered a catastrophic failure during a safety test. That accident burned for 9 days and sent nuclear fallout for 18 miles around the site. You can read about the incident here.

Researchers at The University of Georgia conducted a camera study to gain knowledge on wildlife in the area. In 2015 gray wolves and other wildlife species were discovered in the evacuation zone. The new study found that dead fish carcasses left at the river’s edge attracted multiple scavengers. Although no animals are listed in the source article, reading the actual study here, shows that foxes, mink and otters were some of the scavengers.

So would you take a trip to the evacuation zone to hunt wolves and foxes while setting trap lines for mink and otters?
