Arkansas has been touted as one of the best public hunting states in the country. With a statement like that who would want to miss out on an opportunity to hunt there? Turkey applications are now due. The application period deadline is February 15th to get entered into the WMA permit drawing. Get yourself entered by following the link here. I have personally hunted Arkansas for black bear and waterfowl, but not turkey. I can vouch for the terrain and habitat that Arkansas has to offer and it definitely seems like it should hold a good amount of turkeys. After reading that first line I definitely want to try it out now.
