Lets do some math. What do you get when you exceed bag limits plus wanton waste? You lose your hunting rights, rifle and atv. Not to mention a $100,000 fine and 9 months in jail. An Alaska man had these sanctions brought against him for shooting 3 moose illegally and leaving them to rot. All together there were 21 charges brought against him, including contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The minor was the mans nephew, not a good way to teach the next generation about hunting.
Alaska’s Attorney General and court systems need a big round of applause for this case, send the message out to everyone, poachers will be dealt with harshly.
