There have been confirmed sightings of caribou in the lower 48, Montana to be exact. Caribou have all but disappeared from the lower United States. Mostly due to shrinking habitat and predators among other causes. The caribou, members of the deer family, are protected here in the lower US and British Columbia.
Who would love to see another conservation success story and bring caribou back to the lower 48?
