COUNTING MONTANA LIONS

Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks officials are unveiling a new plan to help count mountain lions. Managing lion numbers is vital and will help establish population numbers which lead to better tag allocations and season limits. Counting lions in the past was a difficult proposition given their sly nature. The new efforts pioneered in the Bitterroot Valley are sure to help immensely. FWP officials are opening up to comments on the proposed plan here.
