With Chronic Wasting Disease being passed along at an alarming rate in Wisconsin, some are considering returning to the CWD bounty program. From 2003-05 WDNR offered bounties on deer that were infected with CWD. The new program is going to be floated out for opinions from The Wisconsin Conservation Congress. The opinion of landowners, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts will help determine if the Payment4Positives program lives or dies. In essence the program will pay $750-$1250 per infected deer turned in. Businesses that want to becoming drop off sites for deer to be tested will also receive  payment of $300. The funds would come from taxes around the deer hunting community. Do you think this is good idea?
