Death is a fact of life. A fact no one enjoys dealing with and in Kansas law enforcement officials are proud to say they didn’t have to notify a single citizen of terrible news like this. That’s right, there were zero hunting-related fatalities reported in Kansas for 2017. In fact, there were only 11 hunting-related incidents and 2 treestand related incidents reported. Officials attribute the low numbers to the successful hunter safety programs across the state. Hunting is one of the safest outdoor sports we can participate in but we all must do what we can to make sure our hunting partners and ourselves come home safely this season. Your loved ones are counting on it.
