North Dakota Game and Fish officials are meeting with the Game and Fish Advisory Board to discuss adding bans on baiting. The areas being added would be along the northern border with our Canadian brethren. CWD is spread through bodily fluid contact and bait piles congregate deer unnaturally which leads to disease transmission. North Dakota’s Whitetail, mule deer, elk, and moose are all battling CWD and these measures hopefully contain the spread. Currently, there is no cure for the disease which is 100 percent fatal.
What experience have you had with CWD in your area?
