For many upland game hunters, grouse is one of the favorites. Some of the many species of grouse are flourishing while others are minimal. Luckily for those conservationist in Wisconsin, their hard work has paid off. The sharp-tailed grouse are on the rise again and after careful consideration, the DNR is opening up an application period. A limited number of tags will be issued and the hunt will be closely monitored.

Good job to those who have worked hard on this project! For further details on the topic visit The Chippewa Herald. To apply for the permits available, visit the Wisconsin DNR page. Happy hunting to those who draw those coveted permits. Will it be you? If it is, let us know how the hunt goes.
