TWO MEXICAN GRAY WOLVES POACHED IN ARIZONA – On March 22nd and 23rd, two suspicious deaths of Mexican Gray Wolves were discovered near Pinetop, Arizona. A reward of $37,000 is on the table for those who have details regarding this incident that leads to an arrest. Officials with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) came upon the scene at Porter Mountain Road in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. They are seeking information from the public as to any suspicious activity taking place on Porter Mountain Road.
Mexican Wolf Reintroduction
This incident is in the rise of the Mexican Wolf Reintroduction Project. It is an attempt by multiple agencies to bring their populations back to a healthy level. This is because they are the rarest subspecies of wolves that roam the land, and officials are adamant to bring swift justice to the individuals involved in the killings.
