Permits for hunting

The Wisconsin DNR regulates the harvest of bobcat, fisher, otter, elk, black bear, wild turkey and sharp-tailed grouse through a special permitting system. Harvest permits/tags/authorizations are awarded through a drawing process. In order to be eligible to receive a permit/tag/authorization to harvest one of these species, you must submit an application by the annual deadline and be a drawing winner.

Applications can be submitted by:

• using the Online Licensing Center
• visiting a DNR Service Center
• visiting a license sales location

Make sure and get online to get your applications submitted. Deadline of December 10th is fast approaching.
